Convalescence that works

Suzanne broke her ankle while in Mesa Verde National Park at the end of September.  Two bones were broken in a (nasty) way that required surgery.  We stored our RV in Albuquerque NM, flew to Rochester, underwent surgery, and returned to Albuquerque in the third week of October.

Since then, we reunited with our RV and drove to Paso Robles to “relax” while Suzanne heals.  Although she won’t walk until Thanksgiving, she is “scooting” (thanks, Debbie) well enough to go wine tasting.  Plus, we’re in one of our favorites places where there’s a lot to see and do sans legs.

To sum it up: It’s not quite the way we planned it, but we feel blessed to get through it this way.

The updated schedule can be found on the Schedule page.
The September National Park visit summaries are posted in Posts.
