We retired in March 2017 and have lived a “RV half-timers” lifestyle since then. Our annual routine consists of 7 months on the road living out of a class A Tiffin RV and a 5 month stint at our cottage in the 1000 Islands, NY. Our “on the road” mission is to experience the full United States of America first hand – the parks, cultures, natural wonders, music, food, and perspectives. We don’t know how long we’ll do this, but we’re thinking 5 to 10 years or so…maybe more.
Our life in one paragraph: we were born a week apart in 1957 and met in Jr. High in North Tonawanda, NY. We started dating as seniors in high school, attended the State University of NY at Buffalo, and married in a snowstorm in December 1979. After a year in Colorado Springs, we settled in Rochester, NY to raise our family. We have 3 children (all girls, all married) and 8 grandchildren located in the Deep River area of Connecticut. Suzanne worked as a Nurse Practitioner/Data Analyst for the University of Rochester for 37 years and Bill worked for Harris Corp. as an Electrical Engineer/Product Manager for 34+ years.
This blog site is our journal, living itinerary, and record repository. It will include an occasional essay of current thoughts and musings. It is rated PG and will NOT be political – our friends and family span the entire political spectrum and we’ll try to avoid useless conflict as much as humanly possible. Please note that it is pretty light on new content from May to October as that’s when we are in the 1000 Islands living the “River Life”. It’s heavy with boating, cooking, fishing, golfing, grand-parenting, and partying – not really all that inspirational, but a seriously good time.
