We reserve the right to change any of these Terms and Conditions at any given time on this website. As we are quite unpredictable and a bit unstable, please check back here often.

Even though we work very hard to provide you with up-to-date and accurate information, we make no representations or warranties of any kind (expressed or implied) about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability of any information, advice, hearsay, innuendo, or related graphics contained on Beamish Adventures for any purpose.  We aim to provide you with accurate information at the time of publishing, but some information will understandably be less accurate as time passes. Should you find any inaccurate information, please do not hesitate to contact us

All the information provided on beamishadventures.com is for general information and entertainment purposes only and is the expressed opinion of Bill and Suzanne Beamish and not others. This includes (but is not limited to) my membership organizations and/or relatives.   Some of the content may be unconventional, counter-intuitive, and/or just plain wacky.

We are not providing any technical, legal, lifestyle, professional … gynecological, astrological, or dermatological advice. You are taking all the provided information at your own risk. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any loss or damage (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss or damage) or any loss or damage whatsoever arising from loss of life, limb, mental capacity, material, self-respect, dignity, data or profits arising out of or in connection with the use of this website.

We cannot be held responsible for any offence taken due to translation, interpretation, or mistakes in grammar and/or punctuation of content on beamishadventures.com.  Face it: we’re over 60, retired, and weren’t that great to begin with.

Although we try to keep beamishadventures.com running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, access to the site may be temporarily or permanently suspended and without notice at my own discretion, due to possible updates or technical issues beyond our control. Beamish Adventures (“Bill and Suzanne Beamish”) operates Beamishadventures.com and due to extended happy hours and other diversions will probably not operate other websites – we figure that we will be lucky to keep this one up-to-date. Nonetheless, it is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website.

Website Visitors

Like most neophyte website operators, we often accidentally collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor interaction. We may at some at some time in the future, intentionally collect non-personally identifying information to better understand how our visitors use our website. We have no intention of ever releasing non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

We also do not collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on Beamishadventures.com blogs/sites unless you really irritate us.

Aggregated Statistics

If Bill gets bored, he may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. We will not display this information publicly due to the stigma attached to such behavior.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. We are relatively clueless about cookies and have no intention of using them.  However, it is possible, or even likely, that there is some mechanism that automatically saves them. For visitors that are concerned about this and do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers: set your browsers to refuse cookies before using Bill and Suzanne’s website, with the drawback that certain features of Bill and Suzanne’s website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Terms and Conditions Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may change our Terms and Conditions from time to time, and at our sole discretion. We encourage visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to our Privacy Policy. Most people do this when they change their clocks to adjust to daylight savings time or when they clean out the pan under their refrigerator. If we had a mailing list and you were actually on it, you might also receive an alert informing you of these changes. Your continued use of this site after any change in these T&Cs will constitute your acceptance of such change, as well an indication that you may need to find a good therapist.
